Doodle Workshops

Doodling – it may have landed you into trouble in school, but it could be your SUPERPOWER!

Here’s where a doodle workshop can benefit your team, even (ESPECIALLY) if no one considers themselves “an artist”:

Unlock non-verbal thinking

Most work communication is verbal. Doodling sparks visual thinking, helping people express complex ideas or emotions they can’t easily put into words — and helping to generate ideas faster.

Improve focus and retention

Doodling during meetings increases attention and recall — it’s not a distraction, it’s an anchor. The brain processes images far faster than words, making doodling a powerful tool for holding focus and avoiding overwhelm.
“Doodling can improve memoryby up to 29%” (Andrade, 2009)

A safe space to draw, share, and explore

A shared creative activity with “no right answer” lowers the stakes. People show up more fully when they feel safe being messy or imperfect — and creative expression is linked to lower stress and improved mood, boosting resilience in high-pressure teams.

What happens in a doodle workshop?

Workshops are customisable, but typically include:

  • Playful warm-up exercises
  • Simple techniques to build a visual vocabulary
  • Personal doodling on a chosen theme
  • Collaborative doodling to create a shared vision
  • Gallery showcase!

A doodle workshop isn’t about “art” — it’s about unlocking new ways of thinking, creating human connection, and building a creative work culture.

FAQs

What is doodling?

Simple, spontaneous drawing. We use “doodle” rather than “drawing” because our workshops are about ideas, not art.

I can’t draw — will I be able to do it?

Most definitely yes! If you can hold a pen and write, you can doodle.

Who are the workshops for?

Groups of up to 12 people from corporate teams, charities, colleges and universities.

Will I have fun?

Absolutely — even when we’re tackling a knotty problem, there’s fun along the way.
