Large format print

SDC for the Judge Business School

We were asked to create large format prints for installation in a new development at Cambridge's Judge Business School.

The prints feature in the lobby and various conference rooms.

Some prints - installed in the conference rooms - use more subtle palettes to create environments that feel inspirational but also allow focus.

Some prints are vibrant.

We took inspiration from nature, using photography as a starting point to create semi-abstract patterns.

SKILLS ON SHOW: Photography, Photoshop.

The client

SDC is a main contractor that undertakes projects across a variety of construction sectors – in this case the education sector. They developed the new Department of Pharmacology MRC Toxicology Unit on the site of the Judge Business School for the University of Cambridge.

Where we came in

SDC wanted to inject some colour and texture into the rooms with the use of large format wall graphics depicting the inside of cells. They approached us to create images that would scale up for maximum effect.

The result …

Beautifully printed on a high grab wall vinyl & matt laminated with all the edges wrapped, the effect is striking. The interior design team matched the furniture to the colours of the panels to create a harmonious look. Staff using the rooms soon came to give the rooms nicknames based on what the images resembled!
